Gaias
Gaias
Starting in Gaias, the coastal capital of Brysia, styled in Romanesque architecture. The city is very peaceful due to the regular patrols of the Dragon Knights. Home of the Good King Amaud. 12 Dragon Knights, adorned in different shades of armor representing various metallic dragons, make up the King’s Guard. There are always 4 of the 12 Dragon Knights with the King, though sometimes they are sent on missions. They are an awe-inspiring sight to behold. Most of the grains produced in Brysia come through Gaias to be shipped throughout the world, resulting in a well-fed population: even the poor go to bed full.

Princes and Princesses of Gaias
Rolland Mountbatton (Human) - Prince of the Port:
Wealthier districts due to taxation of the incoming goods, (notably law was passed for no export taxes) warehouses also in this district are taxed yearly based on storage capabilities and assessed. One of the most contested districts, however Rolland has maintained his title for several elections.
Navira Amakiir (Human) - Princess of Textiles:
Navira’s obsession with quality of textiles being produced in Gaias led to her quick rise to leader of the Textiles district. With ownership of one of the most successful clothier shops she leveraged her popularity with the nobility and upper class to her seat.
Cornelius Cailman (Elf) - Prince of Entertainment:
Lead actor of one of the most well known acting troupes, his popularity amongst the common peoples lead to easy victory 4 years ago. Luckily he has a penchant for keeping competent people employed who run the district making him look good
Alaphina Kass (Tiefling) - Princess of Inns & Taverns:
Kass runs one of the largest inns in Gaias, after finally being convinced to run against the long term incumbent. Kass is using her first year to turn the ship of her district and create opportunities and better conditions.
Galio Berskal (Human) - Prince of Academics & Guilds:
Longest termed Prince consistently re-elected by the peers of his district for his “social prowess” which tells the nobility and socialites a lot about the academics of Gaias. His district is run efficiently; which many appreciate. The people of his district are sometimes frustrated w/ the surveys and “research” they must partake in but deal w/ it for consistency.
Axelfurd Grey (Human) - Prince of Coin:
Rumored to be the once leader of one of the more “unsavory” groups in the city. 6 years ago Axelfurd was able to gain his seat when his opponent mysteriously died. He has run unopposed in the 2 elections since. Though the other high princes distrust him, and disapprove of the way his people are treated they do not have enough proof to bring before the Royals to get Grey removed.
Fiora Bendaega (Human) - Princess of the Watch:
Head of the City Watch Fiora was unanimously voted into office by her district, as the only merchant Prince w/ a background in fighting and criminal investigation she is keeping the closest eye on Highprince Grey.
